This is a unique opportunity to aid the fightback against the virus and protect the public with the delivery of the COVID-19 vaccines.
The extraordinary effort will bring together registered healthcare professionals and non-registered staff in the drive to immunise over 22 million vulnerable adults, rapidly followed by the rest of the UK population.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for registered healthcare professionals such as HCAs, RGNs, RMNs, RNLDs, Phlebotomists, Practice Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists and GPs.
You do not need to be a current NHS healthcare professional. We are also looking for retired, trainee or student healthcare professionals and non-registered professionals as full training will be provided.
ABOUT THE COVID-19 VACCINATION PROGRAMME
You will work as part of a dynamic team, delivering a safe and effective service for the mass delivery of vaccinations of the COVID-19 vaccine
You will be responsible for administering - or supervising the administration of - the vaccine to the local population
You will be working within a team of registered healthcare professionals and non-registered staff across a number of vaccination sites in your area
Once fully vetted and trained and with all the relevant compliance & checks completed, you will be responsible for performing and/or supervising the following:
Set up of the vaccination stations
Drawing up and preparation of the vaccine prior to administration
Vaccine administration
Disposal of clinical waste and change of PPE as per national guidelines
