Registering with Nightingale

Registering an account with Nightingale is quick and easy!

Step 1: Go to the ‘Register’ page and enter your name, email address, mobile phone number and postcode.

Step 2: Choose a strong password. Top Tip make sure you use a combination of Upper and Lowercase characters, numbers and a special character.

Step 3: Read and agree to the Nightingale Ts&Cs. Links to these are at the bottom of the registration page.

Step 4: Click ‘Register’. That’s it and your account is registered.

completing your profile

Now it’s time to personalise your profile and tell us all about yourself including your role(s), skills and experience. This helps us match you to the best shifts across the UK.

Step 1: On your Profile Overview make sure you complete the Profession and Job Roles fields. You can only choose one profession, however, you can select more than one Job Role (e.g. ANP, ACP).

Step 2: Select all of your relevant Skills from the dropdown box. You can scroll and select or free type in the box. Note: If you have a skill that is not displayed please let us know and we’ll add it for you!

Step 3: Enter a short Bio and tell us about yourself. Top Tip this can be a combination of professional and personal and its a great way to tell Service Providers a little bit about yourself.

Step 4: You can also enter another Language, tell us if you’d like to be involved in the COVID-19 vaccination programme plus remember to enter your Professional Registration Number and Smartcard Number (if you have one).

Important: Don’t forget to click submit to save your profile!

Step 5: Add a Profile Picture! It really personalises your profile and puts a face to the name when service providers are reviewing your shift applications.

Step 6: Don’t forget to enter your Availability. This is essential for matching you instantly to new shifts when they land.

uploading profile documents

Need help uploading your documents to your Nightingale profile? Watch our ‘how to’ video guides and find out how to quickly and easily upload your documents via Laptop and mobile.

Step 1: Login to your Nightingale account and navigate to ‘Profile’

Step 2: Under Profile navigate to the ‘Documents’ menu item.

Step 3: Click on ‘upload’ under the document you’d like to upload. This will open the file picker on your laptop/mobile/other device and allow you to select the file you’d like to upload.

Step 4: After selecting your document action icons will appear. If your document requires an Expiry Date an amber icon will appear, enter an expiry date (Note: Expiry Date = document date + 12 months).

A Green Tick will appear when your file is ready to upload. You must click on the green tick to upload your document to your Profile. Once uploaded a a success message will be displayed on screen.

Step 5: Repeat for all your documents.

Your documents are now safely and secured stored in your Nightingale Profile. They are also fully portable as you can access your Profile from any device, anywhere in the world.

entering payment details

Make sure you get paid on time - every time - by entering the correct payment details and payment method on your Nightingale Profile.

Step 1: Navigate to ‘Payment Details’ page from the left hand menu on your Profile page.

Step 2: Choose from one of the following Payment Types: 1. Nightingale PAYE 2. Limited Company or 3. Sole Trader.

Step 3: Complete all the relevant details paying particular attention to your Bank Details and NI (or UTR Number for Sole Traders).

Note: Each Service Providers will carry our an IR35 Status Determination Tests for all engagements. You will be notified of the outcome and may be required to change your payment method for some engagements.

setting your preferences

Setting your Profile preferences is important to make sure you see everything that is relevant to you in the Nightingale platform. It’s also quick and easy to do!

Step 1: Navigate to ‘Preferences’ page from the left hand menu on your Profile page.

Step 2: At the top of the preferences page is the General section. Here you can set your minimum hourly pay rate and how far you’d like to travel for work. Remember to click Submit to save your changes in the section.

Step 3: Communications - We always recommend ‘Allow realtime invites’ is switched on. It means when a service provider invites you to a shift, you will receive a real time notification via email into your inbox.

Step 4: Job Interests - These should exactly mirror the Job Roles from your Profile Overview. Run through the list and switch off anything you are not interested in.

Step 5: Profile Visibility - We always recommend ‘I’m happy for all organisations to see my profile’ is switched on. It simply means you are visible to all and can be see/apply/be invited to shifts with all the service providers in Nightingale.

Remember - you are always the one in control when it comes to applying for shifts and/or accepting work.
